+Deane attended Orchard Park, Elementary in Highland, Indiana until she moved to Tonganoxie, Kansas in the early 60s where she attended Basehor-Linwood Elementary. She enrolled in Basehor High School in 1966 and attended until the birth of her first child, Carl, in 1969. Soon after she attended night school to complete her high school education.
