Jennie Bloomer (11 April 1860) was born in [[wp>Kokomo,_Indiana|Kokomo]], [[wp>Indiana|Indiana]] to Joseph and Isabel Bloomer.

She married James Allen on 25 August 1878 in [[wp>Smith_County,_Kansas|Smith County]], [[wp>Kansas|Kansas]].

====Residences====

At age 10, Jennie was living with her family in [[wp>Nodaway_Township,_Holt_County,_Missouri|Nodaway]], [[wp>Missouri|Missouri]].((1870 US Census https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M46W-ZYR)) Ten years later, in 1880, she was married and living in Smith County, Kansas with her husband. In 1900 she was living in [[wp>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assaria,_Kansas|Assaria]], Kansas, where her oldest son was a teacher.((1900 US Census https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MMYK-YFW)) In 1910 she was living in [[wp>Finney_County,_Kansas|Finney County]], Kansas.((1910 US Census https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M2C4-BT5)) She was 50 years old and her youngest daughter, Edna, was 2. ====Education====

====Employment====

There is no listed employment for Jennie until 1920, less than two years after her husband died, when she is listed as a farmer.((1920 US Census https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MF6C-1J7)) In 1930, at age 70, she was again listed without a job.((1930 US Census https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X7QM-6CP))

====Death====

Jennie passed away on 17 December 1940 in Garden City, Kansas. She died  of chronic myocardities and chronic interstitial nephritis --- inflammation of the heart and kidneys.((https://www.allengarrido.com/tree/doku.php?id=obituary:jennie_belle_bloomer_1940)) She was survived by eight of her 13 children.
