David Speck (12 December 1855) was born in Freeport, Ohio to Silas and Mary Speck. 

He married [[mary_lona_racey_1862|Mary Lona Racey]] on 9 November 1844.

====Residences====

David grew up on his father's farm in Guernsey Co, Ohio surrounded by family. Sometime in the mid 20s he moved to Los Angeles, California (likely to be near to his son Raymond) with his wife where she died in 1926.((Death Certificate 1926 https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QPW7-PMVL)) He remarried on 24 October 1928 to Eliza J. ====Death====

David died in Los Angeles General Hospital on 16 January 1941 after a stay of five days.
