She married James Allen on 25 August 1878 in [[wp>Smith_County,_Kansas|Smith County]], [[wp>Kansas|Kansas]].

====Employment====

There is no listed employment for Jennie until 1920, less than two years after her husband died, when she is listed as a farmer.((1920 US Census https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MF6C-1J7)) In 1930, at age 70, she was again listed without a job.((1930 US Census https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X7QM-6CP))

====Death====

Jennie passed away on 17 December 1940 in Garden City, Kansas. She died  of chronic myocardities and chronic interstitial nephritis --- inflammation of the heart and kidneys.((http://www.allengarrido.com/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=manuscripts:jennie_belle_bloomer_1940)) She was survived by eight of her 13 children.
