John Furrow (25 May 1858) was born in [[wp>Potomac,_Illinois|Potomac]], [[wp>Illinois|Illinois]] to William and Mary Furrow. 

He was married to [[sally_ann_rayl_1859|Sally Ann Rayl]] on 8 November 1878 in [[wp>Vermilion_County,_Illinois|Vermillion County]], Illinois.

====Residences====

In the summer of 1860, 2-year-old John was living in [[wp>Blount_Township,_Vermilion_County,_Illinois|Blount Township]], Illinois with his parents and 6-month-old brother Samuel.((1860 US Census https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MXH5-WF2)) 

Sometime after 1878 and 1880 he was married to Sally Ann Rayl in Vermillion County.((Marriage Index https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:HS4J-B16Z)) He lived in Blue Grass, Illinois (which no longer exists) in 1880.((1880 US Census https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MXKP-PKF)) Sometime between 1884 when his first son William was born and 1886 when his son Charles was born, he moved to [[wp>Kansas|Kansas]] where he stayed until at least 1885 when his daughter Josie was born.

By 1900 he was living in [[wp>Waynoka,_Oklahoma|Waynoka]], Oklahoma.((1900 US Census https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MMG5-XQ1)) In 1903 he was granted 160 acres of land in [[wp>Woods_County,_Oklahoma|Woods County]], Oklahoma under the [[wp>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homestead_Acts#Homestead_Act_of_1862|Homestead Act of 1862]] which indicates that he had lived there for at least the previous five years.((1903 Land Grand http://www.allengarrido.com/dokuwiki/lib/exe/fetch.php?media=johnhenryfurrowlandgrant1-1.jpg))
