Milton Allen (5 February 1885) was born in Lebanon, Kansas to [[james_milton_allen_1855|James]] and [[jennie_belle_bloomer_1860|Jennie Allen]]. 

He was married to [[rosa_myrtle_speck_1888|Rosa Speck]].
====Residences====

Milton's first known residence was in Assaria, Kansas where he lived with his parents and siblings.((https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MMYK-YFC))

In 1910, at the age of 25, he was married and living in Fairview, Kansas with his wife "Rossie" and their infant daughter, Myrtle.((https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M2H2-LKD))

The earliest record on Milton, the 1900 US Census, indicates that at 15 he had attended school for five months that year and was able to read and write.((https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MMYK-YFC))

====Employment====

Milton's first known employment was as a painter in Fairview, Kansas as listed on the 1910 census((https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M2H2-LKD)). 

In 1915 his occupation is listed as barber in the Kansas Census((https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QGLV-GCD7)). According to his WWI draft registration((https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:K664-6RF)) he was working as a farmer around 1918. Between 1920 and 1930 he continued to work as a farmer((https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KNWG-DY7))((https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X73D-BDH)), and in 1940, his listed profession was "assessor" in Great Bend, Kansas((https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VRVN-11B)).
