Sally Ann Rayl (25 September 1859) was born in Champaign Co, Illinois to William and Margaret Rayl. 

She married [[john_henry_furrow_1858|John Henry Furrow]] on 8 November 1878 in Vermilion Co, Illinois.

====Residences====

Sally's first known residence is in Blue Grass, Illinois with her husband and first child, Bertha.((1880 US Census https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MXKP-PKN)) They lived next to her husband's parents. In 1895 she was living in Barber Co, Kansas.((1895 Kansas Census https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QL8V-9ZXJ)) Soon after, she was in Woods County, Oklahoma where her oldest daughter was married in 1898.((Marriage Certificate https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q29M-7N98)) Her last known address was in Waynoka, Oklahoma in 1920 living with her daughter Pearl.((1920 US Census https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MN1B-GB8)) We also know that she was in Waynoka as late as 1924 to enroll her grandson Harley in school.((Oklahoma School Records

====Education====

There is no record of Sally's education, but as of 1900, she is listed as being able to read and write.((1900 US Census https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MMG5-X7M)) It's likely that education was very important to her since she enrolled not only her children in the local schools, but a number of her grandchildren as well as late as 1924 at nearly 65 years old.((Oklahoma School Records
