Glenna E. Alyea, 86 of Highland, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 1998.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary (Dan) Sertich of Hammond; eight granddaughters, Patricia (Duane) Backus of Freeland, Michigan, Catherine (Paul) Shearer of Hessville, Deane (Ken) White of Pennsylvania, Ella (Randy) Werth or North Carolina, Pamela (Craig) Lightcap of Elkhart, Texas, Micki Johnson of Hammond, Terri (Rome) Rothgeb of Hessville and Darla (Wayne) Williamson of Portage; 22 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; one sister, Erma Kleinaman of East Chicago; good friend and neighbor, Adelina Montes of Highland.
Preceded in death by husband, Clayton in 1972; two great-grandsons, Michael Ellis in 1977 and Shawn Ellis in 1992; four brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 26th, 11 a.m. at the Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 2828 Highway Ave., Highland with Rev. Hilton Bryant officiating.
Burial, Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Friends may call at the funeral home, Thursday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Gram was responsible, along with her husband Clayton, for raising their granddaughters. Glenna will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorials may be made to the Harbor Light Hospice.
