Esperanza Garrido (15 February 1986) was born in Mexico City to Ignacio Garrido and Idalid Rodriguez.

She married Daniel Allen on 17 December 2016 at the Presidente Hotel in Polanco, Mexico City. Their first child, Leona Sophia, was born on 12 August 2020.

Esperanza was born in Mexico City, México but her family moved to Jilotepec, Edomex, shortly afterwards. She lived in Jilotepec until she began her university studies in Santiago de Querétaro, Querétaro. After graduating she returned to Mexico City to work. She moved to Washington, D.C. in 2014, then returned to Querétaro in 2018.

Esperanza attended primary and secondary school in Jilotepec, Edomex. In 2004 she began university at the Querétaro campus of Tecnológico de Monterrey where she studied International Business. In 2010 she studied abroad in Australia at the University of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, before returning to Mexico to graduate.

Esperanza's first job was for ProMéxico from 2011 to 2014. In 2015 she started work with the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, D.C. where she worked until 2019.
